Kemistry welcomes Laura Llewellyn, seen here having her computer set up by our IT guy Paul. Laura comes straight from Norwich University via a short placement with a publisher. We were impressed with her work and are sure she will follow in the footsteps of the many great talents we’ve trained here.

Laura, our brand new designer
Kemistry conceived and hosted the opening session of this years Promax. The first day audience were enthralled as two artists, Mr Gauky and Riff battled it out on stage accompanied by some serious live beatboxing from the amazing Reeps One. As the battle reached its climax there was a spontaneous rush to the stage to witness the final moments and thunderous applause as the judges and audience voted a draw. In the evening the merriment continued at a party sponsored by Kemistry and Repertoire where the art from the morning session was raffled off.
Kemistry would like to thank Secret Wars founder Terry Guy, artists Mr Gauky and Riff and the amazing two time beatbox UK champion Reeps One for making this event an outstanding success. Thanks also to judges Andy Kidger and Federico Gaggio for their informed comments.

Promax 2011 opening session

Judges consider their verdict
Kemistry is hosting Secret Wars, a real time graffiti battle for the opening session at Promax. We thought it would be exciting to kick off the conference with a session that will bring energy and creativity to the fore. SW organiser Terry Guy will be on hand to explain how his company Monorex has attracted big name brands to sponsor what was originally an underground movement. In the evening Kemistry and Music company Repertoire are throwing a party at which the artwork created during the session will be raffled off together with a print from Kemistry Galleries current show, ‘10 Years of Resident Advisor’ Promises to be a cool day for all.
We were happy to welcome students from Limkokwing University who came to see the Alan Fletcher show in the gallery and learn about some of the work of Kemistry.
