A new identity for Neo Sports that embodies a nation's passion for sport.
Neo Sports own and operate two sports channels across India. Neo Cricket is the number one channel for fans of the sport whilst Neo Sport offers a range of general sports content.
The company had ambitious plans for future expansion and approached us to revisit their corporate and channel identities as the company prepared for growth. The brief required us to create identities for the channels that would differentiate them in the eyes of the viewer whilst giving the channels a network feel. The project included a review of Neo’s current brand hierarchy as well as logo development.
The Neo project was very much a team effort with our team flying out to India to film the idents, working in close partnership with the Neo project team.
We wanted to create a brand for Neo Cricket that would reflect the immense passion for cricket in India. In the idents, this is captured visually with an intense stream of energy and light that frames the silhouettes of the cricketers in action, forming a connection between the fan and the cricketer, united in their love of the sport.
NEO Cricket’s new look is slick, contemporary and unabashedly Indian and the overall look and feel of the network reflects its status as the leading sports broadcaster across India.
